# Trending

> See which stories your sources are piling into right now, by section or for your country, and listen to a one-minute summary.

Tap the Trending icon in the Feed header. Trending looks across your sources over the last 48 hours and ranks stories by how many different publishers are covering them, not by clicks.

## Tabs

- **Overview:** the top stories in each group, at a glance.
- **Local:** stories about your country, worked out from your device's time zone.
- **Sections:** World, Politics, Business, Technology, Science, Health, Sports and more.
- **All:** everything that's trending.

A story trends once 5 or more different publishers cover it (3 or more for Local). Each card shows how many sources are covering it. Tap **See all** for the full list, or swipe a story to the left for its summary.

## Listen

Tap **Listen** at the top for a spoken summary of the trending headlines, about a minute long, in your [narration voice](/docs/listen).

If Trending is empty, either nothing is surging right now or you follow too few sources. **Browse feeds** helps you add more.
