About
About Hushread
Hushread is an RSS and news reader with no algorithm. You pick the sources; when many outlets cover the same event, Hushread shows it once, as a story with a timeline. This page says who makes it and how the Stories on this site are written.
Who makes Hushread
Hushread is built by one person, Lavneet, and operated by Ramarya Consultancy, Pathankot 145001, Punjab, India. It is independent, and it is not affiliated with the outlets it summarises.
It runs as an app for iPhone, iPad and Android and in the browser.
How Stories are written
Stories are written by an AI model from other outlets' published reporting. Hushread does no reporting of its own, and no person reads each piece before it is published. Here is what happens:
- Reading the feeds. Hushread follows the public RSS feeds of news outlets and links articles that cover the same event.
- Waiting for corroboration. A story is written only once several outlets have covered the event, usually eight or more.
- Writing from the coverage. The model is given those outlets' articles and writes from them alone. It attributes claims to the outlets that reported them, and takes people's names and titles from the coverage, not from its own memory.
- Linking every source. Each story carries a timeline, and every entry links to the original report. The byline says how many outlets the piece was written from.
- Updating. While coverage continues, the story gets dated updates as new reporting arrives, newest first.
Stories are signed Hushread Stories, not with a person's name, because no person wrote them.
What that means for you
- A Story is a summary of what others reported. For anything that matters, open the linked originals.
- AI models make mistakes: a wrong title, a misread figure, two events blended into one. We work to prevent them, and some still get through.
- When outlets disagree, a Story should say who reported what. It is not Hushread's own finding.
Corrections
If a Story gets something wrong, email support@hushread.com with the link and what is wrong. We check it against the sources and fix the piece.
