Apple Releases iOS 27.2 With Five New Siri AI Languages

Apple launched iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 in September. Their first major updates arrived on October 26 with the release of version 27.2, according to MacRumors.

The iPhone release followed four developer beta cycles, AppleInsider reported. The finished update combines expanded Siri AI language support with changes to messaging, entertainment and FaceTime.

On October 26, Apple released iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2. MacRumors reported that the iPhone update is available for every iPhone capable of running iOS 27.

The central Siri change is support for five additional languages. According to Apple Newsroom, Siri AI became available in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish with the 27.2 software updates released that day.

The update also brings Suggested Actions in Messages and Apple TV profiles, according to Cult of Mac. Apple Music gets a new icon.

AppleInsider reported that FaceTime Dual Capture is included, but an Apple Health revamp is not part of this release.

Alongside iOS 27.2, Apple released iOS 26.7.2 for iPhones still running iOS 26. 9to5Mac described that separate release as a security-focused update.

iOS 27.2 is now released, rather than available only as a preview. Its compatibility extends across the existing iOS 27 iPhone lineup, according to MacRumors.

The most substantial expansion described in the coverage is Siri AI's addition of five languages. The other reported changes include specific app features and visual updates, while the Apple Health revamp remains absent, according to AppleInsider.
