Charli xcx Joins Martin Scorsese's What Happens at Night in Cameo

Charli xcx's connection with Martin Scorsese already extended beyond a film credit. Variety Movies described their collaboration as including the cover of her new album, "Music, Fashion, Film."

Now that connection includes an appearance in Scorsese's upcoming "What Happens at Night," starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence.

On October 22, Variety Movies reported exclusively that sources said Charli had a cameo in the film. That description matters: the report places her in a brief appearance, not alongside DiCaprio and Lawrence as a lead.

Stereogum also carried the casting news on October 22, identifying Scorsese, DiCaprio and Lawrence in its headline.

On October 23, Infobae reported that the English singer would make a cameo. Telegraaf likewise described a small role, explicitly attributing the information to sources cited by the original report. Those accounts did not establish a separate casting development.

The central news is a reported cameo, with Charli joining a film led by DiCaprio and Lawrence. The supplied coverage does not name her character or explain how she fits into the story, and it does not include an on-record casting announcement from the production.

The open questions are the specifics of Charli's appearance and the film's schedule. The supplied reports do not provide filming details or a release date, so they offer no timetable for when audiences will see the collaboration.
