Nine Killed as Sleeper Bus Catches Fire on Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida

The incident began late at night on September 23, when a sleeper bus traveling from Delhi to Mahua in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi district was moving along the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida. The bus was carrying at least 35 passengers, many of whom were asleep when the fire broke out near the 33-kilometer marker.

Emergency services responded to the scene, but by the time the fire was brought under control, at least nine people had died. Several others sustained injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
