Two Arrested in Killing of SNL Writer Jimmy Fowlie's Sister

Christina Downer, 38, disappeared in Los Angeles in November 2025, according to the New York Post. She was the sister of "Saturday Night Live" writer Jimmy Fowlie.

By April, Fowlie was publicly calling for accountability for her death. The Wrap TV described his plea for "those responsible to be held accountable," months before police announced arrests.

The case began with Downer's disappearance in November 2025. The available coverage does not explain when investigators concluded she had been killed or what evidence led them to that conclusion.

Fowlie's April appeal marked a public call for action over her death, according to The Wrap TV. The supplied report does not describe the investigative steps taken between that appeal and the arrests.

On Thursday, October 29, police arrested Downer's boyfriend, Delorean Bijon Brandon, and Kaylee Nicole Markowski, The Hollywood Reporter reported. Variety Movies identified Brandon as 41 and attributed the arrests to the Los Angeles Police Department.

In its October 30 coverage, TMZ also relayed a report that authorities had searched an Airbnb property. The supplied account does not establish when the search happened or what investigators found.

Two suspects are under arrest in connection with Downer's killing. TMZ described the arrests as being on suspicion of murder, while Consequence of Sound referred to a suspected murder. The available coverage does not establish whether formal charges have been filed.

There is also a discrepancy in the descriptions of those arrested. Deadline Hollywood described two men, while The Hollywood Reporter named Brandon and Markowski. The supplied reports do not resolve that difference.

The next details to establish are whether prosecutors file charges, when the suspects appear in court and what evidence police say connects them to Downer's death. The available reports provide no court dates or account of that evidence.
